When Escalante's Grand Staircase National Monument was declared in 1996, it attracted people far and wide. Including an entrepreneur with a dream, that purchased the very land that is now Escalante Cabins & RV Park. He began construction, but failed to complete the work, and for two decades the unfinished site scarred Scenic Byway 12 as visitors arrived in charming Escalante, Utah.

Then in 2016 enterprising couple Steve and Jenae spotted the lonesome property and recognized an opportunity. After receiving the blessing of the local council, they worked through the summer of 2016 to complete 66 RV sites, addtional tent sites, and bathroom facilities. By that fall the park was open and ready to greet and serve the traveling public.

As the property has grown a total of four cabins and two casitas (vacation houses) have been added added, a general store, and clubhouse; each year expanding on the dream with more amenities and resources. Growth and opportunity has been a constant theme, however always coupled with sustainable practices that protect the delicate ecosystem of Escalante.

Today the property boasts  numerous awards and reviews, and is owned by pioneering, (family owned), travel company  JET Hospitality; but the thing we're most proud of is the amazing experience we know you're going to have staying with us at Escalante Cabins & RV Park.
